Ms. Gowan is originally from Dalton, GA. She moved to the Carrollton area in 2013 to attend the University of West Georgia. She graduated with her B.A. in English from UWG in December 2018. Directly after graduating from her program, she got accepted into a Master's program in UWG's English Department. She is currently still working toward earning her M.A. in English and should be finished by the end of this school year. She is a first-year teacher and will be teaching ninth and tenth grade English at Mt. Zion High. In addition to teaching, she enjoys writing poetry and cooking with her husband. She also loves photography and traveling.
