I earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Mississippi.  After teaching middle school, I returned to the University of West Alabama where I earned a Master's and a Specialist degree in school counseling.

I have six years of teaching experience in both Douglas and Paulding County schools.  I worked as a counselor for 10 years in Paulding County before moving to Carrollton and joining Carroll County Schools in 2016.

I currently live in Carrollton with my husband, daughter and two dogs.  My son teaches elementary school in Alpharetta, Georgia.
