Mt. Zion High School welcomes Mrs. Hannah Yates, facilitator of the Communities In Schools program which was recently introduced in the Carroll County Schools to provide a safety net of support for students at the individual school site. By forming partnerships with human service agencies, businesses, civic groups, faith communities, and individual volunteers, CIS connects children and families to the resources and relationships they need to be successful in school. Mrs. Yates will coordinate the CIS program at both Mt. Zion and Bowdon High schools. She is an Auburn University graduate with a degree in psychology. Mrs. Yates previously worked with Pathways Behavioral Health’s Assertive Community Treatment Team, which served mentally ill adults with the community. As the CIS facilitator she will work to serve the students of Mt. Zion to increase graduation rate and empower them to succeed after graduation.   Hannah is married to Mr. Scott Yates and they reside in the Bowdon community.
