MT. ZION HIGH BOASTS HIGHEST GRADUATION RATE IN COUNTY

According to data released by the Georgia Department of Education this week, Carroll County’s high school graduation rate increased from the previous year to 74.5 percent which puts it at two points ahead of the state average.   Of the five county high schools, Mt. Zion High had the highest graduation rate with 83.3 percent of our students fulfilling requirements for graduation. Mt. Zion showed an increase of four points.

Principal Tracey Barrow was pleased with the progress and credits the faculty and staff members having personal contact in a family-like atmosphere through an advisement program in which every student has a faculty or staff member who advises them on all aspects of the education.   According to Mrs. Barrow, the goal for the current school year is to break through the 90 percent mark.
